A CHOCOLATIER who invented the much-loved Walkers Chocolates has died aged 83.
Bob Walker’s chocolate packing containers have been a stocking filler for the reason that model was created in 1977.
The corporate provide a variety of chocolate and confectionery together with crammed sweets, truffles, chocolate bars and Easter eggs.
MailOnline reported Mr Walker’s companion Johanna Laurie mentioned: “His motto was ‘smile, be joyful’, so it’s hardly shocking that he put an uplifting saying into each field of sweets.”
She added that he by no means ate chocolate, as a substitute he sampled it “like a sommelier”.
Talking of her heartbreak, Johanna mentioned: “For these he leaves behind, together with his 5 grandchildren, life can be empty with out this pretty, larger-than-life man.”
Bob’s household purchased a candy store in South London when he was younger.
Then, after his father died, he took over as supervisor of the shop.
Realising his love for the chocolate enterprise world, he went on to purchase a candy store in Kent together with his then-wife Patricia.
He then purchased two extra confectionery retailers in Orpington and Penge.
Bob then travelled the world, and began importing confectionery from Italy and Isreal.
And in 1977 he purchased an previous manufacturing facility in Birmingham and established Walkers Chocolates.
After retiring seven years in the past, the enterprise went beneath new administration.
